Although it seems very simple, breathing during swimming is of great importance, however, despite the fact that many people can carry out this exercise in a splendid way, exhaustion from not knowing how to breathe is a matter of seconds. Below you will find some of the guidelines for correct breathing that you should keep in mind:
- Breathe in through your mouth by opening your lungs as wide as you can.
Put your whole head under the water and release all the air.
Try to make as many bubbles as possible and as big as possible.
When swimming, your body and your head must turn to the right in order to take a breath.
Try to do bilateral breathing. That is, right arm – I take a breath on the right side – I grab the edge and blow – left arm – I take a breath on the left – I grab the edge and blow.
